Temporary suspension of trading of the shares of the banks "ALPHA BANK S.A." and "EFG EUROBANK ERGASIAS S.A."

The ATHENS EXCHANGE following request from the Hellenic Capital Market Commission and the relevant information of the banks "ALPHA BANK S.A." and "EFG EUROBANK ERGASIAS S.A.", decided in order to ensure investors' protection, the temporary suspension of trading of the shares of the banks, as of today August 29, 2011, until the above mentioned banks inform the investing community of the outcome of their BoD meetings, regarding their merger.

Accordingly the ATHENS EXCHANGE, decided the temporary suspension of trading of all derivatives products including stock borrowing and lending products with underlying including the shares of ALPHA BANK S.A. and EFG EUROBANK ERGASIAS S.A., the Exchange Traded Funds ALPHA ETF FTSE ATHEX 20, and NBGAM ETF. Furthermore, the trading of derivatives on FTSE ATHEX 20 and FTSE ATHEX - CYCE (banking) is suspended.
