The Athens Exchange (ATHEX) decided, according to paragraph 3.1.2.5 of its Rulebook, the transfer of the shares of the company "VARVARESSOS S.A." to the Under Supervision Category, taking into consideration that in the company's General Assembly of 17/12/2009 no decision was taken about the realisation of the announced increase of its share capital, so that the criterion for classification to the Under Supervision Category is no longer satisfied . The decision of the company's General Assembly for the share capital increase was set as a prerequisite by the Athex BoD in its session on October 8th 2009, in order not to transfer the company's shares to the Under Supervision Category.

The transfer of the shares of the aforementioned company to the Under Supervision Category will be effective as of Monday, December 21th 2009.
