On August 16, 2002, at the opening of the trading session there was a technical problem at the OASIS System and in particular, at the calculation of the General Index and the FTSE/ASE Mid 40. The problem was due to the de-activation of the realization of transactions by Method 6 on the shares of PAPASTRATOS CIGARETTE CO. and consequently, the inaccurate calculation of the prices of the two above-mentioned indices.

To be noted, that the shares of the Company PAPASTRATOS CIGARETTE CO. are under suspension as of Monday, August 12, 2002, in view of their conversion to registered ones.

The problem was solved within the first fifteen minutes of the trading session and henceforth, the prices of the Indices were correctly calculated by the OASIS system.
