Short Selling Notification Obligation
According to Decision no. 1/509 by the BoD of the Capital Market Commission (download the Press Release) , dated May 15, 2009 physical or legal entities, must immediately notify Athens Exchange in case that:
(a) Open a net short position over a particular share that exceeds 0.10% of a listed company's total number of shares,
(b) Perform any other change (increase or decrease) of the net short position that has already been notified to the Athens Exchange.
All notifications can be remitted:
Athens Exchange will publish the above-mentioned notifications in its Daily Official Bulletin.
Respectively, in cases of proven technical problems the declaration of short sell order and of buy to close order for the coverage of short sell position, will be forwarded via e -mail to the following address shortselling_technical@helex.gr by the end of the trading session the latest.
