Delivery of H/S/F OLYMPIA PALACE from Fincantieri shipyards of Italy

The management of MINOAN LINES announces that the delivery of H/S/F OLYMPIA PALACE took place today, Thursday, December 13, 2001 at the Italian shipyards of Fincantieri.

The vessel departed the port of Genoa and her arrival to the port of Heraklion is estimated on Saturday, December 15th.

The H/S/F OLYMPIA PALACE will be deployed from December 21st on the Patras · Ancona sea route. Her technical characteristics are: length 214 meters, width 26,4 meters, 4 WARTSILA 12V46C engines: 16,800 KW (each) and her carrying capacity is 1880 passengers, 600 vehicles or 150 trucks and 100 vehicles. Her service speed is 30 knots.

The vessel is equipped with a shopping center, restaurants, discotheque with panoramic view, cinema, children playground, lounges, videogames, gym, nursing area with a teleheart device and 106 business class seats with private TV sets and radio.

The H/S/F ΟLYMPIA PALACE is the third ultra modern passenger ferry for MINOAN LINES from the Italian shipyards of Fincantieri, which follows the deliveries of the H/S/Fs ΚNOSSOS PALACE (November 2000) and FESTOS PALACE (April 2001) within the context of the company's investment program.
