Giorgos Doukidis

Georgios I. Doukidis is Professor of eBusiness in the Department of Management Science and Technology at the Business School of the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB). 
At AUEB he was a member of the University Council, director of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Unit and co-founder of ACEin (the start-up incubator). He is the founder and director, till 2021, of ELTRUN -one of the largest eBusiness Research Centers of all European Business Schools- that has participated successfully in more than 40 international R&D projects with more than 100 leading Universities and international companies. His research output has been recognized by various international awards such as the European Case Study Award 2009 in "Knowledge, Information and Communication Systems Management" category and the European ECR award in "Retail Innovation with Business Analytics" in 2015. 
He holds a BSc in Mathematics from the University of Thessaloniki, an MSc in Operational Research and PhD in Artificial Intelligence/Simulation from the London School of Economics (LSE) where he taught in the period 1982-1990. He has also taught in leading European Business Schools, was visiting Professor at LSE and Brunel University and has supervised successfully 20 PhD students in UK and Greece. He has published 20 books (10 with international publishers), more than 250 scientific papers and acted as guest editor seven times in leading international academic journals.
He was chairman of TANEO (Greek New Economy Fund) and vice-President of GRECA (Greek eCommerce Association). In the last 30 years he has acted as consultant in more than 50 organizations/enterprises in areas such as business development, innovation and re-engineering, e-business and digital transformation, business analytics.
