ANNOUNCEMENT

National Bank of Greece S.A. (the ‘Bank'), announces that, by decision of its Board of Directors during its 22.10.2020 session, and following proposal by the Corporate Governance and Nominations Committee, Mr. JP Rangaswami was elected as non-executive member of the Board of Directors, in accordance with the Bank's Articles of Association and the current corporate governance framework.

Mr. JP Rangaswami possesses over 35 years' experience in information technology and has served in senior IT positions at a number of multinational organizations, including financial organizations.  Among others, he has served as Chief Data Officer and Group Head of Innovation at Deutsche Bank, as well as Global Chief Information Officer at Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein and currently he is an independent non-executive director at Admiral Group Plc, Allfunds Bank Group and Daily Mail and General Trust (DMGT) plc.

The Chairman and the members of the Board of Directors expressed their satisfaction with this decision through which the Board is being further enhanced with a new member having expertise on matters relating to information technology and digital transformation.

It is noted that, in accordance with the provisions of the legal and regulatory framework, the election of credit institutions' new Board members is subject to approval and constant review by the Single Supervisory Mechanism (SSM) of the European Central Bank.
