Announcement regarding recent publications in news media outlets concerning Hertz Global Holdings

Athens, May 6, 2020

Autohellas holds the exclusive franchising rights of Hertz's sign in Greece and in some countries abroad, via Hertz International Ltd., a subsidiary of Hertz Global Holdings. For Autohellas, Short-Term rentals constitute nearly 16% of the consolidated Group Revenue and around 30% of the Group's profitability.

Hertz Global Holdings, according to recent international press publications and announcements, faces liquidity issues as a result of the pandemic and the restrictions imposed on travel and is currently in negotiations with its creditors. Autohellas neither possesses any kind of special information nor participates in these negotiations, since the company does not have any shareholding or credit/borrower relationship with Hertz Global Holdings and its group.

Based on Autohellas' assessment, irrespectively of which processes may be eventually put forward for Hertz Global Holdings' debt restructuring, during those negotiations, the function of both Hertz Global Holdings' own international network for short-term rentals, and its global, independent Franchisee network, will not be impeded.

On a more general note, the major issue of the sector remains to be the consequences stemming from this pandemic and the imposed travel restrictions.
