The Management of OPAP S.A. announces to the investment public that, in completion of the necessary preparatory actions for the in house undertaking of the risk management and operation of the STIHIMA game as of 29/01/07, following as well the recruitment of suitable and specialized Greek and foreign consultants, reached an agreement with INTRALOT for a six month period, in order to:
1. Transfer know-how in such ways (consulting services at all stages of set up and management of the game, historic data of gaming behavior etc) that secure the provision of the specific knowledge and experience of the Greek gaming market acquired in the past seven years of the games'' operation.
2. Supply and install, at OPAP''s headquarters, the total technological infrastructure as well as train the company''s staff for such operation.
The above infrastructure (that will become OPAP''s possession) includes the necessary equipment (IT system, databases, teletext etc) and the license of use of software (main system, terminals, risk management etc) required for the organization, operation and management of the game. This infrastructure will be identical to the one operating today.
3. The supply, as of 29/1/2007, of 1.500 terminals, on top of the 2.000 terminals already supplied, (i.e. 3.500 in total) providing full support to all the games of OPAP S.A.
4. The provision of maintenance - technical support services of the technological infrastructure.
The total price of the agreement amounts to 65 mil. Euro.
The abovementioned agreement provides OPAP S.A. considerable advantage, providing the technological infrastructure for the operation of the game continuing the games'' successful performance.
