In accordance with Article 275 paragraph 9D of the Athens Exchange Regulation and with Article 2 paragraph 2B of the decision 3/347/12.7.2005 of the Hellenic Capital Market Commission, The Ethniki, Hellenic General Insurance Company S.A. hereby informs the investors and its shareholders that an additional tax amounting to Euro 2.856.393 has resulted from the ordinary tax control for the fiscal years 2003 and 2004 carried out by the Tax Authorities (Athens Interregional Auditing Center) and the respective amount has been paid in full.
For the tax control of the above-mentioned years, a provision of Euro 1.043.000 had been made. The amount of tax in excess of this provision was accounted in the financial year 2006.
It should also be mentioned that the ordinary tax control for the fiscal year 2005 has started and is currently under way and a respective announcement will be made after its completion.
