Financial results 2003

Significant increase - in percentage of 32% - have been recorded for the milk industry's KRI-KRI S.A. Earnings Before Taxes during the fiscal year of 2003. In particular, EBT amounted to 2,131 million euros versus 1,615 million euros in 2002. At the same moment, EBITDA amounted to 4,115 million euros, increased by 42%, while the turnover of the listed company amounted to 18,125 million euros, reporting a growth of 27,05% ahead of 2002. A remarkable point is that the company has zero bank liabilities, as the implemented investments of 2003 have been financed so much from equities , as from the funds of Public Offering.

During the examinant period, the consolidated earnings before taxes amounted to 2,230 million euros, reporting a growth of 30,50%, while after the abstraction of the taxes and minority rights, the consolidated profits amounted to 1,859 million euros, presenting an increase by 30,82%. At the same time, EBITDA was 4,221 million euros, increased by 36,65% towards 2002. The Consolidated turnover amounted to 19,547 million euros, reporting a rise of 25,53% compared to 2002.

Meanwhile, the increase (81%) of KRI-KRI 2003 Exports was spectacular, amounted to 1,7 million euros, which was the 9,4% of the total turnover of the company. According to the management of KRI-KRI, the financial growth in 2003, is mainly due to the Export Activity in the Balkans as much as European countries, also due the launch of new profit-making products of ice cream and yogurt, as well as the expansion of the trade country network.

At the same time, the successful cooperation with other companies (like for instance Trofeklekt), the return on investment in machinery, as well as the company's entrance in A.S.E. last July, boosted it's growth.

As it is highlighted by the management of the listed company, the steadily growth of KRI-KRI is not incidental. During the last five years, the status of the company has been consolidated between the most dynamic milk industries of the Balkans, reporting much more bigger growth rates per year (some 27%) compared to the medium of the branch (4%) .

KRI-KRI continues it's steadily growth based on a specific strategic plan, which foresee medium turnover growth 25% for the next three years. Also, one of the targets for the next three years, is the 15% of the annual turnover, to come from the promotion of new products.

In particular, during the running year the company puts on:

  • Completion of the panhellenic distribution network of ice cream and yogurt
  • Launch of six new products of ice cream and new yogurt products European type in small individual package
  • Furthermore export increase, to the Balkans as well as to Central and Northern European countries.
