Liquidation of material registered shares

Egnatia Bank announces that on the basis of decision No. 1/380/4.5.2006 of the Capital Markets Committee, the 387th/19.6.2006 meeting of the Board of Directors of the Capital Markets Committee and the application of art. 53 Law 3371/2005 it intends to liquidate registered shares (both physical certificates and depository documents) which have not been deposited for the purpose of dematerialization. Shares arising from corporate actions are included in the above. In accordance with the above, we hereby inform those shareholders holding shares for dematerialization that the deadline for dematerialization of their shares is 31 October 2006. They are kindly requested to visit the Bank's offices (Zefirou 56, 175 64 P. Faliro) or to contact the Shares Management Department on 210 9477521-522 for any information or clarification and to ensure that they complete the dematerialization process within the relevant timeframe by submitting the following documents: 1. The physical certificates or depository documents. 2. Copy of D.S.S. account certificate. 3. Identity Card. After the deadline has passed, all material registered shares will be liquidated in line with the decision of the Capital Markets Committee which will determine which Member of the Athens Exchange will carry out the liquidation, which shares will be liquidated (certificates and number of shares) and the liquidation commencement date. The liquidation will be carried out in accordance with the procedures stated in article 99A of the Athens Exchange regulations. The liquidation period cannot be greater than two (2) months from its commencement date and will be carried out on a daily basis with the remaining quantity until all shares have been liquidated. Following the completion of this process, the net proceeds of the liquidation will be deposited by the Bank proportionally in favour of all the beneficiaries at the Deposit and Loan Fund. The Bank will then inform the beneficiaries both of the results of the liquidation and of the procedures for claiming the proceeds.
