Aluminium de Grece (AdG) of Mytilineos Group of companies and S&B Industrial Minerals S.A. (S&B) announce that a new agreement has been concluded between the two companies, for the supply of the AdG alumina plant with S&B bauxite. The new agreement has ten years duration, covering the period from 1/1/2007 until 31/12/2016. According to this agreement, AdG commissions S&B to supply its plant with 700,000 tons of bauxite annually, a quantity significantly larger (by 75%) than the 400,000 tons provided under the current contract. Moreover, the new agreement includes the option for additional quantities of bauxite, up to 10%, depending on the needs of AdG. This is an important agreement, mutually beneficial for both companies and serving the interests of the National economy, enhancing both the competitiveness and long-term prospects of the domestic alumina industry, and the sustainability of the domestic bauxite production. The management of both companies express their satisfaction for the conclusion of this new agreement, which signifies and strengthens the spirit of open communication and good cooperation between the two parties.
