Following the letter of the Capital Market Commission, dated 30/01/2006, the company would like to report the following: As it was mentioned in the note no 17 of the financial statements, dated 30/06/2005, in the consolidation for the period 01/01/2005 to 30/06/2005 were included 4 subsidiaries (ANTIMET S.A., DIAPEM S.A., ELKEME S.A. and METALWORKS OF ATTIKA S.A.), which were not included in the consolidated financial statements, dated 31/03/2005 and which, in total, are considered to be not significant in connection with the total consolidated financial data of the Group. As a result, there were some changes in the financial data, concerning the first three months of the years 2005 and 2004, as this was initially published. In addition it was ascertained that (a) in the consolidation of 31/03/2004 the deletion of certain inner transactions was not recorded and consequently, the consolidated amount of turnover, as well as the cost of sales for the period 01/01/2004-31/03/2004 appeared increased accordingly and (b) in the consolidated financial statements, dated 30/06/2005, the amount of profit to be attributed to minority shares, concerning the period 01/01/2004 to 30/06/2004, appeared correctly, while the relevant amount, concerning the period 01/04/2004 to 30/06/2004, did not appear correctly. Aiming at the most accurate information of the public, the Company considered indispensable to proceed to the correction of the interim financial statements, dated 31/03/2005 and 30/06/2005, in the company?s web site. The most important amounts affected, regarding the data published, are: (a) a decrease, of euro 26,9 mil., out of a total of 483 mil., in the consolidated turnover and euro 25,9 mil., out of a total of euro 415 mil., in the cost of sales, for the period 01/01/2004 - 31/03/2004, without a significant effect on the results, (b) the decrease in the profit attributed to the company?s shareholders for the period 01/04/2004 - 30/06/2004, by euro 3,8 mil., out of a total of euro 24,4 mil. and (c) the decrease in the consolidated profits after taxes for the period 01/01/2005 - 31/03/2005, by euro 0,6 mil.-
