Pursuant to paragraph 2 (a) of article 24 of L. 3461/2006, Crιdit Agricole S.A. hereby notifies the Hellenic Capital Market Commission and the Athens Exchange that:
(1) On September, 25th 2006, Crιdit Agricole S.A. acquired, at the price of Euro 2.18 each, 75,028 common registered voting shares of the company Phoenix Metrolife Emporiki S.A. (the Company), representing approximately 0.08% of the Company''s voting rights;
(2) Prior to the above acquisition, Crιdit Agricole S.A. controlled directly and indirectly (as a result of the acquisition of control in Emporiki Bank of Greece S.A.) approximately 95.36% of the Company''s voting rights;
(3) Following the above acquisition, Crιdit Agricole S.A. controls directly and indirectly approximately 95.44% of the Company''s voting rights.
