On Wednesday 22 March 2006, a conference call was held by the management of Minoan Lines S.A., in order to inform analysts and investors for the financial results of the fiscal year 2005. The companys presentation focussed on the annual financial results and the ground in which the company will be improved further in the next years. In the analysis of the financial results for the year 2005, it was referred the increase in net profits, the enhancement of market shares in both domestic and international routes and the consequent increase in revenues. Furthermore, reference was made to the measures that have been taken in order to reduce the effect of increase in fuel prices in the companys operating results. In relation to the corporate strategy and Minoan Lines future prospects for the next years, it was referred the main goals, namely focus on core business and the optimum level of fleet operation.
