"Logistics Centre and Port - Development of Thessaloniki Port Logistics Centre" is the topic of the presentation of Mr. Ioannis Tsaras, C.E.O. of OLTH S.A. at the Conference titled "Development of Ports and Logistics" organized by "Technoekdotiki - Helexpo" on Sunday 21/5/2006 within the context of the International "Transport & Logistics" Fair taking place on Helexpo grounds (19-22/5/2006). Mr. Tsaras will present the prospect of establishing and operating logistics chain facilities (organization and execution of orders, management of goods subject to customs control, packaging, ticketing, customs clearance and services) at the Port of Thessaloniki. The Port disposes of a total surface area of 122,00 sq.m. for the creation of "Thessaloniki Port Logistics" that will address commercial and industrial companies, maritime and forwarding agencies, container conveyance companies, city logistics etc. The competitive advantages of OLTH S.A in terms of the establishment and operation of the Logistics Centre include the state-of-the-art facilities, the close proximity to the Container Terminal and the urban tissue, the direct connection to the regional and international transport networks - and the possibility of combining three transport means - and of course, the significant scope to enter into cooperation agreements with OLTH S.A. existing customers as from the first day of operation of the Centre.
