The financial results of the fiscal year 2000 reaffirmed the dynamism of Spider SA

During the fiscal year 2000, Spider SA has achieved an increase of 37% in consolidated profits. According to the financial results of the fiscal year 2000, Spider SA has realized consolidated profits of GRD 1.52 billion, versus GRD 1.11 billion in 1999.In addition to profits, consolidated turnover has reached the amount of GRD 9.7 billion, versus GRD 7.3 billion in 1999, increased by 33%. In the consolidated financial statement the financial results of Epiplotechniki LTD, of which Spider SA has, recently, purchased 60% of its stocks, have been incorporated.In relation to the parent company, it must be pointed out that Spider SA has realized a turnover of GRD 6.07 billion, while profits at GRD 1.13 billion have been increased by 20%, versus the profits realized in 1999.Spider SA plans to advance the completion of productive investments, which refer to the lines of production of the factory in the Industrial Area of Ioannina and the manufacturing installations of Epiplotechniki LTD, at Oinofita, in Viotia.It is noteworthy the fact that 25% of the company's turnover is realized by goods exported to Western Europe, the Balkans, the Middle East, Asia and Latin America.In relation to domestic developments, it must be noted that Spider SA has, recently, fulfilled the order put by the Municipalities of Athens and Thessaloniki for the new advanced waste collection bins.The impressive rate of growth of the company and the remarkable performance of its stock, are explaining the fact that Spider SA constitutes the favorite preference of both institutional investors and the public. The aforementioned reasons, also explain, why Spider SA has been selected to enter, since March 1st, the group of companies comprising the Parallel Market Index and the Industrial Sector Special Index.
