Initial Recording of Securities for Non-Listed Issuers (register@ATHEXCSD)
The service of Initial Recording of a company’s non-listed securities with ATHEXCSD is addressed to Greek Sociétés Anonymes Companies wishing to register their securities, shares or bonds, in a Central Securities Depository, in accordance with article 12 of Law 4569/2018.
Basic Conditions for Receiving the Service
- Statutory provision for the possibility of recording of securities with a Central Securities Depository (CSD)
- Freely transferable and fully paid securities
- Fulfilling the obligation to publish annual financial statements
- Receipt for cancellation by the Company of all the securities of the beneficiaries, where applicable
- Safekeeping of non-listed securities of eligible Shareholders/Bondholders in an individual Securities Account, omnibus Securities Account or Joint Investor Securities Account in the DSS system through an ATHEXCSD Participant
Benefits
Reliable registry of shares/bonds with the validity of ATHEXCSD. It provides security and enhances the Company's image for the purposes of participation in tender offers, M&A, financing, etc.
Ability to hold the non-listed securities of the beneficiaries in a Joint Investor Securities Account, which:
is provided only by a CSD and is governed by similar provisions to those of joint bank accounts, especially with regard to inheritance and tax issues. In addition, it is combined with the securities blocking service for safekeeping purposes by ATHEXCSD ("Safe Box"), at the instruction the 1st joint beneficiary.

Facilitate the financing of the beneficiaries of non-listed securities by enabling the pledging of securities by Credit Institutions through the Dematerialized Securities System (DSS) of ATHEXCSD.
Familiarization of non-listed Issuers with the Greek Capital Market. The service acts as a gateway to familiarize non-listed Issuers with the services of ATHEXGROUP and the Greek Capital Market ecosystem for their further utilization (e.g. future listing on the Athens Stock Exchange for raising funds, etc.).
Procedure for Initial Registration of Non-Listed Issuers in ATHEXCSD

- Be informed in detail about the application procedure for the Initial Recording of your company on ATHEXCSD and the detailed fees
- Submit the application and the requested documents to receive the relevant ATHEXCSD services
- Be informed about the status of the processing of the application and the required actions per stage
- Pay online ATHEXCSD's charges for receiving the services after the application is accepted
- Receive support from ATHEXCSD at all stages until completion of the initial registration of your company’s securities
