10 Years Listed at the Athens Exchange
Inform Lykos shares stared trading at the Main Market of the Athens Exchange on the 25th of July 1994. The company had just changed its name from TYPOMICHANOGRAPHIKI P. LYKOS S.A. to INFORM P. LYKOS S.A. with a simultaneous expansion of its business description to a "Production, Processing & Development Industry of Printed Information Systems". The entrance of Inform Lykos to Athens Exchange and the change of its name declared the precise desire of the Management and the Shareholders to enter dynamica lly into the new Information driven era.
During these years, Inform Lykos has been transformed from a large printing house to a Group of Companies providing products and services in the Information Management field. In this period, Inform Lykos raised EUR 30.6 million with three share capital increases: in 1994, 1997 & 1999. During the decade 1994-2004, the parent company invested EUR 56.3 million. At Group level the net investments exceeded EUR 77.0 million, of which EUR 57.0 millions involved buildings, machinery and technical equipment investm ents.
Inform Lykos' evolution was really impressive. Shareholders' equity was increased from EUR 8.8 million in 1994, to EUR 4.80 million in 2003 for the parent company and EUR 59.4 million at consolidated level. Revenues reached EUR 9.0 million in 1994 compared to around EUR 80.0 million in 2003. Profits before taxes increased from EUR 1.5 million in 1994 to EURO 9.8 million in 2003. Overall, the company's revenues reached EUR 400 million and the profits before taxes reached EURO 84.4 million. The dividend pai d this period exceeded EUR 30.3 million.
Inform Lykos' activity and development, which was realized through the raising of funds from the Athens Exchange, leaded to the significant increase of human resources employed. At the end of 1993, the company had 137 employees and 10 years later the parent company had 445 employees and the entire Group 1255 employees. Approximately, EUR 74.0 million were paid in salaries and social contributions. In addition, taxes paid exceeded EUR 23.3 million.
