2005 full year results

NEWSPHONE HELLAS S.A. announced the FY 2005 results according to International Financial Reporting Standards (I.F.R.S.). Consolidated sales stood at euro 34.2 mil. as compared to euro 28 mil. in 2004 marking an increase of 21.9%. Together with the development of existing business units, the above increase in sales is attributed to a great extent to the business unit of Thematic Voice Portals, which commenced its operations within FY 2005. Gross profit marked a significant increase of 56.7% at 14.9M euro compared to 9.5M euro in 2004. Furthermore, gross profit margin in 2005 stood at 43.7% over 34% for the respective period last year, marking an increase of 9.7%, which is mainly attributed to the Thematic Voice Portals business unit, which operates with a considerable gross profit margin. EBITDA stood at euro 7.6 mil. over euro 3.9 mil. in 2004 marking a y-o-y increase of 93.2%. At this point it is worth noting that selling expenses grew compared to 2004 due to increased advertising expenses occurring from the company?s necessity to promote newly introduced National Directory Assistance Service through the code number 11880. EBT rose by 96% in 2005 and stood at euro 5.9 mil. over euro 3 mil. in the respective period last year. Finally, EAT and minorities amounted to euro 3.9 mil. as compared to euro 1.3 mil. in 2004, posting an increase of 193.5%. On the basis of the above results, NEWSPHONE HELLAS management estimates that in 2006 consolidated sales will amount to ? 43 mil. while EBT will stand at euro 8.2 mil.
