A significant increase of the NIREUS Group figures was recorded for the fiscal year 2006 in relation to 2005, which is in line with the management''s estimations.
With respect to the consolidated figures :
- EBITDA recorded an increase of 43% and amounted to 28,03 mil euros, from 19,65 mil. euros in 2005.
- Pre-Tax Profits, increased by 37%, amounted to 15,30 mil. euros versus 11,17 mil. euros in 2005.
- After Tax and Minorities Profits reached 9,04 mil. euros versus 7,46 mil. euros in 2005, marking a 21% increase.
- Turnover rose by 17% to 161,5 mil. euros from 138,12 mil. euros in 2005.
In the parent Company NIREUS S.A. :
- Turnover, increased by 17%, amounted to 154,56 mil. euros versus 132,04 mil. euros in 2005.
- EBITDA rose by 11% amounted to 22,15 mil. euros, versus 19,95 mil. euros in 2005.
- Pre-Tax Profits reached to 13,20 mil. euros from 12,93 mil. euros, an increase of 2%.
- After Tax Profits amounted to 9,77 mil. euros from 9,85 mil. euros.
It should be noted that the profitability of NIREUS S.A. is in fact higher by 3,1 mil. euros beyond the above mentioned amounts. But, it reached to the above levels after the deduction, for extraordinary reasons, of the amounts below:
- 1,1 mil. euros due to the merger of EUROCATERERS S.A. with NIREUS S.A.,
- 1,2 mil. euros steaming from the regular tax audit for the period 2001-2004, and
- 0,8 mil. euros of the stock option plan
The first two factors are not going to be repeated and relate only to the year 2006 while the stock option plan will affect, albeit with a smaller figure, 2007.
A further improvement of NIREUS Group financial figures is expected for the year 2007, as of the 16/01/2007 announcement of the Company.
