6M 2006 consolidated financial results (I.F.R.S.)
NIKAS Group of companies released its 6M 2006 financial results according to the International Financial Reporting Standards (I.F.R.S.).
Consolidated sales stood at euro 53 mil. over euro 51.9 mil. in the first half of 2005 marking an increase of 2.2%. Operating growth, excluding Plataion S.A., the feta cheese production unit that was sold on 30/4/2006, stands at 5.1%. The abovementioned growth is attributed to the sales of processed meat products and pizzas.
EBITDA in the first half of 2006 stood at euro 6.1 mil. over euro 9 mil. in the respective period in 2005. This decrease is attributed both to the increase of selling expenses for achieving the strategic goal of market share expansion and support of new products, and to the fact that 6M 2005 other income figure also include extraordinary income of euro 1.5 mil.
Earnings after tax and minorities stood at euro 2.6 mil. over euro 4.3 mil. in the respective period in 2005, marking a decrease of 38.2%. Respectively earnings per share decreased to euro 0.132 over euro 0.213 in the respective period last year.
