An increase in its economic figures reported Autohellas/hertz in the third quarter of 2006. Consolidated turnover reached Euro 89.6 ml. from Euro 81.8 ml in 2005, an increase of 9.5%. Earnings before depreciation and investment results reached Euro 54ml from Euro 47.9 ml the previous year, an increase of 2%. A one-off change in a participant company s accounting methods, results in non-comparable figures as far as income from participation in associated companies is concerned. The above led in earnings after tax and minority rights of Euro 13.7 ml, from Euro 13.4 ml at the end of the 3rd quarter of 2005, an increase of 2.2%. It is worth mentioning that Autohellas s.a., as a stand alone company, has increased its turnover by 8.5%, while after tax profits are up by 23.9%, with Euro 14.1 ml from 11.4 ml. last year. The unamortized fleet value at the end of the 3rd quarter, reached Euro 203 ml, while total investment for fleet renewal and fleet expansion is expected to reach Euro 105 ml by the end of 2006. Autohellas has managed to maintain once again its leading position in the market, with 26,800 vehicles under its management from 8,500 in 1999.
