9month results significant increase in profits - 39% increase in turnover
The financial figures of PC SYSTEMS for the first nine months of 2004 reported dynamic increase, as confirmed by the particularly major increase in sales and profits of the company for the nine month period of the current fiscal year.
More specifically, the company?s turnover during the nine months of 2004 posted a 39% increase, exceeding 36.6 mil. Euros against 26.3 mil. Euros in the corresponding period of 2003. Profits before tax posted significant increase and exceeded 1.5 mil. Euros against 309 thous. Euros in 2003.
In parallel, during the nine month period of 2004, the financial figures of the PC SYSTEMS GROUP as well marked major increase, as total turnover reached 44.2 mil. Euros against 34.3 mil. Euros in the nine months of 2003, while profits before tax amounted to 1.6 mill. Euros against 338 thous. Euros in 2003.
According to Management estimates, the company?s turnover for 2004 is expected to exceed 48 mil. Euros while profits before tax will equivalently present major increase.
PC SYSTEMS' positive course is the result of the company?s continuous growth regarding its? strategic alliances and also its participation in large scale infrastructure projects.
In particular during the nine month period, and with respect to the Private Sector, the company undertook projects for the Lambrakis Press Organization, the central Administration of the Bank of Greece, for the Friesland dairy industry, as well as the Boheringer Ingelheim pharmaceutical industry. In the Telecommunications sector the company completed supply and maintenance projects in the Hellenic Telecom (ΟΤΕ) Administration Mansion and for Tellas as well. PC SYSTEMS is also active in the Tourism sector. Apart from services rendered to feasting and hotel facilities, the company has also undertaken a project (currently on pilot stage) for the Grecotel chain hotels that is expected to begin by the year end.
At the same time during the nine months of 2004 PC SYSTEMS participated in the most important IT projects that took place in Greece, including its participation in the SAIC Joint Venture, a project associated with the Olympic Games security. Also the company was one of the four companies of the Consortium for Olympic IT Projects regarding IT infrastructure of ATHENS 2004 Organization Committee. PC SYSTEMS also constituted a major associate of Atos Origin regarding the support of IT services with almost 120 special executives, while it undertook the supply and installation of the Ticket Master wireless Network regarding interconnection of the ATHENS 2004 sales centres for the Olympic Games tickets.
The company was also present in the Public Sector during the period of nine months, undertaking various supply and installation projects as well as web equipment support services to 664 Teaching and Management Units of the Thessaly University and of the Athens Technical Institution regarding Special Training units throughout Greece for students having vision problems. PC SYSTEMS also completed the supply and equipment instalment for the University of Patras, Crete and Aegean, for the Hellenic Post Services as well as the Hellenic Air Force.
Currently there are under way projects for the Ministry of Transport and the School Buildings Organization regarding the upgrading of the examination centers of prospect drivers all over Greece and the the supply and installation of PC equipment respectively.
