COSMOTE - MOBILE TELECOMMUNICATIONS S.A. announces that on Friday 4 August 2006 it acquired 5,200,000 common shares of Germanos S.A., following stock exchange transactions at the maximum price of 19 per share. As a result of this acquisition COSMOTE now owns 20.75% of Germanos S.A.
