Euromedica S.A. announces that it acquired 90% of Hostels of Western Macedonia, a company owned by the family of G. Boutaris, for 1.050.000 Euro. The above company operates the hostels La Moara and La Soare in the Nymphaio region of Florina. The total capacity of the two hostels is 40 beds. Through this take over Euromedica wishes to expand its activity in the health tourism sector and aims to create a health and wellness center, a spa center and a rehabilitation center as well, all in an originally beautiful surrounding. According to Euromedica strategic planning, La Moara hostel will be restructured in order to accommodate the centers previously mentioned within 2007. The above mentioned take over is a merger of the health-tourism sector and will operate as a pilot program for Euromedica, which aims to expand such activities in other tourist areas as well, especially in Rhodes and Crete, (where it operates 2 hospitals of the group), but also in Corfu and Chalkidiki. In addition, Hostels of Western Macedonia in a cooperation with a construction company aims to finalize a project which will built residencies for the winter season in its mountainous private area of 4.500 square meters in the Nymphaio region of Florina.
