ELLINIKI TECHNODOMIKI S.A. informs that the company ''AKTOR S.A.'', in partnership with its subsidiary company in Dubai ''AL-AHMADIAH '' AKTOR L.L.C.'', made an underbid, after a pre-selective process at an international competition, for the project: ''CONSTRUCTION AND OPERATION OF A BIOLOGICAL CLEANING UNIT AT JEBEL ALI''.
The offer of the joint-venture amounts to $ 422 mil. (~ euro 324,5 mil.)
This unit is the largest in the United Arab Emirates (U.A.E.), with a total sludge processing capacity of 300,000 m3/day and is expected to be completed within 36 months of the start of its construction. After the design and construction of the Biological Cleaning facilities in Thessaloniki and Psyttalia and the undertaken of the contract for the design and construction of the Biological Cleaning facility of Bucharest, AKTOR S.A. has made a further significant step, combining its know-how in the field of liquid waste treatment with its intense presence in recent years in the construction market in the Persian Gulf.
