On February 2, 2007, NEOCHIMIKI S.A. proceeded to the sale of 6,900,000 shares of LAMDA DETERGENT S.A. at a total amount of euro 54,372,000 to foreign institutional investors, through private placement, organized by Sal Oppenheim Bank and Piraeus Securities. As a result, its stake in the company is reduced from 34.03% to 16.38%.
Concerning today''s announcement it should be noted that the shareholder NEOCHIMIKI S.A. had pre-announced its intention to liquefy its participation within the current year due to the visible decrease in its percentage in the, under-formation, company ALAPIS (please refer to relevant announcements), since after the predicted merger of the involved companies, it would hold approximately 12,7% of the total 163,433,370 shares of the under-formation ALAPIS. Thus today''s placement of shares is within the framework of the aforementioned planning.
