MYTILINEOS HOLDINGS S.A. announces that in the context of an investigation ordered by Court authority in connection with various publications in the Press concerning (1) relations between the PPC and ALUMINIUM S.A. after the expiry of the Pechiney contract in 2006, and (2) the operational regime of the Combined Heat and Power station of the Group's subsidiary ALUMINIUM S.A., the Court of Appeals Public Prosecutor's Office and the Financial and Economic Crime Unit concluded after a preliminary examination that no offence has been committed and that the cases in question do not even need further investigation and are closed.

In addition to the examination of the relevant documents, the preliminary examination procedure also included summoning witnesses from the PPC, ALUMINIUM S.A., other involved organisations and the competent regulatory bodies, and taking depositions from them.

This decision serves once more as evidence of the fact that ALUMINIUM S.A. is operating rightly, adhering strictly to the letter of the law and applying the provisions of the national and EU laws – a practice shared by all MYTILINEOS Group subsidiaries.
