Alpha Bank A.E. (the “Bank”) announces that the Hellenic Competition Commission will proceed with a phase II evaluation (as per article 8 par. 4 L.3959/2011) of the notification jointly submitted by the Bank and EFG Eurobank Ergasias, in the context of a merger by absorption of the latter by the former, in relation to the following markets: (i) credit card issuing and acquiring services, (ii) factoring, and (iii) origination and management of mutual funds. The merging banks will cooperate closely with the Hellenic Competition Commission with an aim to promptly secure the requisite approval as per the applicable law.
