The appeal that was brought by MINOAN LINES against the judgment of the Court of First Instance of the European Communities in respect of the euro 3.26 million fine imposed for the period 1987-1994, has not been accepted.

Given the fact that a provision for the entire amount including interest accrued had been duly set aside, the above development may by no means affect the companys results.
