The Board of Directors of GERMANOS S.A. announces to the investment community that it was informed today by the main shareholder and founder of the company Mr. Panos Germanos, that he is in exclusive negotiations with the mobile telephony operator COSMOTE S.A., which if successfully concluded will result to the acquisition of Mr Panos Germanos stake to the company and consequently to the acquisition of a controlling shareholding stake of GERMANOS S.A. from COSMOTE S.A., subject to receiving the necessary approvals corporate bodies and the relevant public authorities. Consequently, and for the protection of investors, GERMANOS S.A.A has requested the suspension of trading of its shares until Monday 8 May 2006 inclusive, when it expects to make a new announcement regarding the negotiations' outcome.
