Pursuant to article 53 para. 2 of Law 3371/2005 (Government Gazette Α/178/14.07.2005) and decision no. 1/380/4.5.2006 (Government Gazette Β/657/25.5.2006) of the Board of Directors of the Hellenic Capital Market Commission concerning the sale of registered shares, the Commercial Bank of Greece S.A. herewith requests its shareholders who hold registered shares in physical form or depository certificates to submit these shares no later than July 5, 2006 to the Bank's Share Register Department, Sophocleous 11, Athens, 4th floor, or to any Branch of the Bank, along with documentation of their account in the Dematerialized Securities System (DSS). Investors who do not have an account with the DSS will need to contact an account manager at a brokerage firm or fiduciary bank. After July 14, 2006, all shares that have not been dematerialized will be liquidated via the Athens Stock Exchange on a date to be determined following approval by the Capital Market Commission. The net result of the liquidation, after the deduction of all expenses and taxes, will be deposited on behalf of the beneficiaries with the Deposits and Loan Funds.
