Hellenic Telecommunications Organization SA (ASE: HTO, NYSE: OTE), the Greek full-service telecommunications provider, announced that it has acquired today a block of 7,840,343 common shares of Cosmote SA, representing approximately 2.35% of the outstanding share capital of its Greek mobile phone subsidiary. The purchase was carried out at the price of 20.0 euros per share. As a result of that transaction, OTE's ownership of Cosmote's share capital increased from 64.14% to 66.49% for a total of 221,865,058 shares out of 333,688,110 outstanding Cosmote shares.
