Following the announcement of Proton Investment Bank S.A. dated June 1st, 2006 regarding the intention of IRF European Finance Investments Ltd to purchase a stake between 28% to 30% of the total share capital of Proton, the Bank clarifies that it has been informed that Messrs A. Athanassoglou and E. Lianos intend to provide a portion of the shares to be transferred, with the balance coming from other shareholders of the Bank.
