In reference to the press releases, which the financial newspapers, namely EXPRES, NAFTEMPORIKI and HMERISSIA published yesterday with regard to the return of capital to the shareholders of the company HELLENIC EXCHANGES HOLDING S.A. (HELEX), the latter, in accordance with §1(a), article 5 of the decision No. 5/204/14-11-2000 of the Hellenic Capital Market Commission, is announcing the following to the investing public:

Concerning the issue reported in the above-mentioned press releases, i.e. the return of capital to the shareholders of the company, it is clarified herewith, that up to today, the competent bodies of the company did not take any kind of resolution on the said issue.

More specifically, the company, via its competent bodies, is currently examining the possibility of a return of capital to the shareholders, in the best possible way, so much for the benefit of shareholders and the company itself. Consequently, the company is not in a position to announce to the investing public, as an impending significant event, the return of capital, not least, the method of payment and the amount of it.

In case of any development on the above-mentioned issue, relevant announcements of the company will follow towards the fulfillment of its legal obligations against the competent supervisory authority and the investing public.
