MLS Multimedia: Annual analyst teleconference

 

MLS held on Tuesday 22nd of May 2012 its annual analyst teleconference to present the financial statements and strategic highlights of 2011.

 

The Greek market slowdown affected negatively the sales of MLS(despite the increase in the market share). A part of the losses were covered by the expansion to selected markets abroad and especially in Turkey and Chile during the last months of 2011. In the beginning of 2012 MLS made its entry in the Moroccan market. The benefits of company's expansion abroad will be seen in the financial statements of 2012. Moreover this year MLS will continue the reduction of costs.

 

As it was said to the analysts, MLS implements a three-year(2012-2015) strategic planning with the strategic goal to become an international technology company. The company has recently developed another world innovation, the Talk&Drive International Product Platform. This platform permits MLS to customize very quickly the worldwide unique navigation system with voice recognition, MLS Destinator Talk&Drive in every language and for every country around the world. ΜLS targets to countries with low penetration rates in the navigation sector(lower than 5% against 25% in Europe) and high growth rates in passenger car sales.

 

In the fields of educational technology and linguistic technology, MLS completed the development of its own innovative interactive white board, the MLS IQBoard. The period 2010-2011 MLS supplied and installed about 1.100 interactive white boards in the Greek schools, a project of total 1,6 million euros. The company participates in the new public tenders for the entry of interactive white boards in the Greek schools.

 

Finally, the company completed the first phase of the investment in the mobile phone sector. The company will announce soon the result-product of this investment.
