In their meeting today 16/11/2006, P.P.A. S.A Board of Directors approved the announcement of an International Public Tender, Phase A for the interest expression and pre-selection regarding the Concession of the Container Terminal in Piraeus Port with the following objectives:
a) the further development, expansion and modernization of the existing infrastructure and superstructure (planning, financing, construction ,maintenance ) , and
b) the operation and exploitation of the Terminal for a period of 25 years with right of extension for further five years.
The total conceded area includes the existing port area, projects under development and future projects in a total area of 1.000.000 sq.m. in which is included the existing superstructure i.e. buildings, equipments, IT systems etc
The next phase of the Tender will be realised after the completion of the first phase and confirmation of participation in which the concession criteria as well as the remaining terms, conditions will be determined.
