On the occasion of publications, which bring up the issue of the placement under supervision of the derivatives market, the Athens Exchange (ATHEX) announces that there is no such an issue.

On the contrary, there is a continuous monitoring of all the markets of the ATHEX in order to secure their smooth operation. The Athens Exchange as it has also stated in the past, takes measures and other actions for the capital markets (such as those recently announced), whenever deemed necessary, in order to accomplish the objective of the smooth operation of the market. Furthermore, the ATHEX has hammered out a scheme for coping with crises and urgent events and communicates with the capital market Authorities of the country, the Ministry of Finance and other European exchanges as well.

In addition, the ATHEX monitors closely the developments and takes the appropriate measures and actions, as it has also done in the past, in periods of crises and of events of significant importance that were finally surpassed.
