Marfin Popular Bank Public Co Ltd (the «Bank») informs investors that on 2^nd April 2012 the Extraordinary General Meeting of its shareholders decided, among other matters, the change of its name to «Cyprus Popular Bank Public Co Ltd».

The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism, Department of Registrar of Companies in Cyprus approved the change of name of the Bank on 5 April 2012.

The Athens Exchange was informed of the change of the Bank's name on 10 April 2012.

Following the above, it is noted that as from the 12^th April 2012, the name of the Bank at the Cyprus Stock Exchange, ticker “CPB” and the Athens Exchange, ticker “MARFB”, changes to “Cyprus Popular Bank Public Co Ltd”.  The Bank intends to take all necessary actions for the change of the ticker on Athens Exchange.
