A Memorandum of Collaboration between the Athens Exchange and the Montenegro Stock Exchange was signed on 10.12.2002 in Belgrade, in the frame of the Inter Balkan conference on the issue of the ''Development of the Financial Markets of the region'', which was arranged by the Belgrade Stock Exchange.

The conference was attended by representatives of 10 Stock Exchanges of South Eastern Europe.

The Collaboration agreement provides for the installation, at the Montenegro Stock Exchange, of the electronic trading system OASIS of the Athens Exchange, as will as the collaboration regarding the modernization of the statutory regulatory framework of the market of Montenegro.

As it is known, the Athens Exchange is already installing the OASIS trading system at the Belgrade Stock Exchange and with this agreement its role in the region of South Eastern Europe is strengthened.

Issues of collaboration between the stock exchanges of the region were discussed at the conference, as all the stock exchanges pursue their development and the increase of their accessibility to other markets.

In this frame, the 10 Stock Exchanges signed a Protocol regarding the establishment of a regional Consortium relevant to the training on issues of the Stock Markets.

Through this protocol, the Stock Exchanges will pursue the training of executives of the Stock Market (Certification), as well as the training of investors through the establishment of a unified training structure.
