 Commencement of trading of the new shares

Agricultural Bank of Greece (hereafter the “Bank”) announces to investors that on Tuesday 10 January 2012 the trading on the Athens Exchange (hereinafter the "ATHEX") of the 483,333,333 new common registered bearing voting right shares of a nominal value of €0.60 each (hereafter the “New Shares”) which resulted from a share capital increase in cash with pre-emption rights in favor of existing shareholders, as decided by the Bank's Extraordinary General Assembly of shareholders of 15.11.2011, will commence.

On Thursday 5 January 2012, the ATHEX approved the admission of trading on the ATHEX of the 483,333,333 New Shares.

The New Shares will be credited to the accounts of the beneficiaries held with the Dematerialised Securities System (“DSS”) by the date of commencement of trading.
