In regard to press publications ATEbank announces the following:
1. Due to the high liquidity ATEbank enjoys and in order to have better returns, a part of the liquidity has been invested in Hedge Funds and structured interest rate products. However 70% of the available funds under management are still either in cash or in Greek State bonds an amount which is more than three times the bank''s capital.
2. 91% of the investments in Hedge Funds and structured products are capital guaranteed by well-known banks with ratings of AA & AAA. Non-capital guaranteed products are issued by Foreign and Greek Banks of high credit ratings.
3. There is great dispersion among managers of these products that follow a variety of strategies and as a result these investments have a "defensive" profile and are characterized by low volatility.
4. ATEbank always takes into consideration the suggestions of the Bank of Greece in order to enhance the evaluation and monitoring of these products.
