Lannet Communications, in response to a newspaper article in the weekend press of January 20-21, 2007 regarding its discussions with Orange Business Services, wishes to make the following announcement:

Lannet is intending to sign an agreement of cooperation with Orange Business Services. The framework of this agreement relates to the provision of consultancy services by OBS for the development of Lannet''s next generation network.

Having examined all the offers submitted by various consulting groups, Lannet decided in favour of Orange Business Services having the best know how to undertake the specific project.

Orange Business Services is a subsidiary of France Telecom which offers, among others, consultancy services to alternative network operators for the design and development of their next generation networks.

It is worth noting that the said agreement does not envisage equity participation of Orange Business Services in Lannet''''s share capital.

Lannet will inform the investment community of details of the agreement with OBS when the agreement is finalized.
