On the occasion of press articles, which argue that Piraeus Bank is preparing to submit a new offer for Bank of Cyprus, the Chairman of Piraeus Bank, Mr. Michalis Sallas, clarified the following, answering to journalists'' questions: Comments on Recent Press Article(s)"Piraeus Bank is not concerned with the submission of a new offer for Bank of Cyprus. In due course, the Bank will liquidate its stake in Bank of Cyprus, in a way which will maximize the benefit of its shareholders".
