COSMOTE - ΚΙΝΗΤΕΣ ΤΗΛΕΠΙΚΟΙΝΩΝΙΕΣ Α.Ε.

customer base growth in 4 countries of the Balkan region

Following the assumption of management of OTE's mobile assets in Bulgaria and FYROM, COSMOTE now operates directly (Greece, Albania) or through management contracts in 4 countries of the Balkan region, with the aim to establish a significant mobile presence in South Eastern Europe.

The customer base growth of the respective companies during the second quarter of 2003 was:

Operator COSMOTE (Greece) AMC (Albania ) Globul (Bulgaria)

Prepaid net new additions 201,034 22,616 60,754

Contract net new additions 14,068 329 15,321

Total net new additions 215,102 22,945 76,075

Total Prepaid 2,277,207 547,548 370,418

Total Contract 1,579,358 13,180 267,666

Total Customer base 3,856,565 560,728 638,084

Y-o-Y Total Customer base growth 20% 56% 119%

The majority of total net new additions in the Greek market were prepaid customers, sustaining the existing trend already established in the last two years . However, it is worth noting that the majority of contract net new additions were new corporate customers, an indication of the dynamics of the respective market segment.

Furthermore, despite Cosmofon's very recent launch in F.Y.R.O.Macedonia, the company has attracted the outstanding number of more than 20,000 customers in less than 3 weeks of operations.
