MARK AN INCREASE

DELTA HOLDING SA financial figures for the year 2000 appear significantly increased and well within the Group's management projections.More specifically, the Group's consolidated sales increased by 21% reaching GRD 152.3 bn from GRD 125.9 bn in 1999. Accordingly, the Group's market shares increased in its three major sectors of activities, that is dairy products (milk, fresh dairy products and cheese), ice cream and frozen products. It must be noted that the new organizational structure of the Group allowed its subsidiaries to have the necessary flexibility for a more efficient operation. As a result, the gross profit margin remained in the area of 32%, while the operational profit (after extraordinary profits and financial income) of the industrial activity increased by 79% to GRD 4.7 bn in 2000 from GRD 2.6 bn in 1999.Financial income, although lower by 10% in 2000 compared to 1999, contributed significantly to the final results of the Group. This confirms the ability of DELTA HOLDING to achieve the goal it has set for sustainable yearly capital gains arising from the wise management of its corporate portfolio and the Group's strong capital structure.EBITDA also marked a significant increase of 25% thus reaching GRD 21.2 bn in 2000 from GRD 16.9 bn in 1999, while consolidated profits before taxes and minority rights reached the sum of GRD 17.9 bn, thus contributing to a P/E in the area of 7.5 for the year 2000.For the year 2001, management forecasts that sales ·on a consolidated basis· will reach the sum of GRD 170 bn, while consolidated profits before taxes and minority rights will be in excess of GRD 19 bn, thus contributing to a P/E of approximately 6.9 for the year 2001 and based on DELTA Holding's present market capitalization.
