The FTSE/Athex Oil & Gas index started on March 1, 2001 with 1,000 as its basis. It was designed by Athens Exchange in cooperation with FTSE International Limited and it depicts, on a real time basis, the performance of the shares which constitute the Oil & Gas super sector according to the Industry Classification Benchmark (ICB).
