The FTSE/Athex Small Cap index started on May 31, 2001 with 1,000 points as its basis. It was designed by Athens Exchange in cooperation with FTSE International Limited and it tracks, on a real time basis, the performance of the eighty (80) biggest in terms of capitalisation shares of the Medium & Small segment of the Athens Exchange.
